The Great Bulgarians

The series "The Great Bulgarians" was created by BNT based on a BBC format. The main idea of the show is to provocate the contemporary citizens to think about their history, to remember facts in it and to see the past thruogh the eyes of the modern reality. Based on this the series quickly turned into a social survey of the Bulgarian people. 170 thousand of which nominated a total of 2710 bulgarians from different historical periods, via Internet, telephone or SMS. In 2007 Vassil Levski was voted the Greatest Bulgarian. The voting for the show was serviced by IMS.
