"Pyramid" is an interactive TV program which broadcasts live, every Saturday from 8-8:30 pm on TV2. In it individuals from the political and social sphere debate on current issues of the week.
There are three subjects and for each they are given a total of 9 minutes present their position and debate over it. The contestants are positioned in the studio in alphabetical order on individual tribunes, each with different colour armchair: orange, blue or red.
First to present his position, in 60 seconds, is the one who is pre-determined as moderator of the particular issue to be discussed. He has the right to present his/her position in 60 seconds without interruption from his opponents. This applies for the second and third contestant, as the order is clockwise, or red, blue and orange chair. After each one has had their initial minute they get 2 more chances to expand their position. Here the other contestants have the right to make a remark or comment on the said in 30 seconds, and the speaker on his/her turn gets 60 seconds to defend his/her position. In the mean time, the TV audience has a chance to interact with the show by voting for their favourite of the three contestants, in real-time. The results are revealed in the end of each of the 3 discussions.
The winner is the one who accumulated the most viewers' votes- or the honest, open-minded and responsible guest. The voting is done via SMS and telephone. A trade mark of the "Pyramid" is the feature the Voice of the Nation, where the viewers get a chance to interact directly via telephone, in real-time, with the contestants. They are given 60 seconds to ask questions or comment and express their own opinion.
In the end of the show, each viewer who has sent an SMS with his/her vote, gets a chance to win a money prize. In the studio each contestant is also backed by 25 personal supporters, who also participate in the show.
